Ofcom announce changeover date
0870 Numbers currently fall into the national rate category and have recently found a new lease of life since BT announced that with certain BT call packages 0870 numbers are now free to call.
On the 1st August 2009 0870 numbers will be reduced in price to the same call cost as 01, 02 and 03 numbers. Businesses using 0870 numbers after this date will be charged per minute to receive calls.
